CJ Julstrom is a journalist and print, digital text, photo, audio and video storyteller. They are from Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where they gained a passion for music and other arts coverage.

CJ studied Journalism at the University of Minnesota, with a minor in Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. There, they gained experience in a variety of media including news writing, photography, video, audio and some basic coding.

As a reporting intern for the Brainerd Dispatch, they reported, wrote and edited text stories and accompanying video and earned an award for an article they wrote there. They are always looking for the most effective way to tell personal stories that connect people, whether that involves finding the best medium for a story or the best way to report it.
